YOLO, right?

It's 12:00, and in 5 hours, I get on a plane for a 26 hour trip to Houston the weekend before school starts.

Never in a million years would I ever have thought that last sentence was a real thing. But when your friend who never wanted to get married is getting married, and it's the weekend to celebrate that two weeks before her wedding, that's what you do. It is maybe the most insane, less-than-totally calculated when it's a pseudo-work-related thing I've ever done, and it's gonna be great.

Here's the thing. It's not the most sleep smart/stress-responsible thing I've ever done, but it's the only time this weekend is going to happen. And it feels like a big deal now, but in a month? It's fine. Small fries compared to the actual stress of convincing 220 8th graders to want to learn in my English class. And I get to experience this thing with this friend who I love. I am so excited for her and know that it's going to be great.
